Yet another relief to small and marginal farmers in the country has been provided under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) or The PM-KISAN Yojana 2025. Launched by the central government in 2018, it is a flagship welfare programme aimed at direct income transfer to farmers as a way to relieve and improve their livelihoods.

By now, farmers living in rural areas can check for eligibility for the next PCR installment in 2025, and the government has released the updated PM Kisan Gramin List. This would not only encourage transparency but also ensure timely financial assistance to genuine farmers.

What is PM-KISAN Yojana 2025?

PM-KISAN scheme offers ₹6,000 per year in any form of two Big Instalments of ₹2,000 each by DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) through the farmer’s bank account. It’s to aid farmers in handling farming costs that don’t break the bank.

Over the years, its reach has widened, and as of February 2025, over 9.8 crore farmers (out of which 2.41 crore are women) received the 19th instalment. The 20th round is now scheduled for June 2025, giving a glimmer of hope to millions who use this assistance for seasonal needs.

How to Check the PM Kisan Gramin List?

This is an easy process via online to check weather your name is listed in the latest PM Kisan beneficiary list or not.

Here’s how farmers can verify their status:

1. First of all, visit the official PM Kisan’s website by following this link – pmkisan.gov.in
2. Then click on ‘Beneficiary List’ under the ‘Farmers Corner’.
3. Select your State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village.
4. Click on ‘Get Report’, and the complete list will appear.
5. You can search for your name in the list and even download or print it for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for PM-KISAN

Not all farmers of India will qualify for this scheme. The government has set clear guidelines to ensure that only eligible applicants receive these precious benefits:

• The applicant must have to be an Indian citizen and the owner of agricultural land in India.
• Farmers working in government jobs or those who are actually receiving support from other central/state agricultural schemes of the government are not eligible for this scheme.
• A valid Aadhaar card, bank account, and land ownership documents are mandatory.

To register or stay active on the list, farmers need to submit these documents:

• Aadhaar Card
• Land Records (like Khasra/Khatauni)
• Income Certificate
• Residential Proof
• Bank Passbook
• Passport-size photo
• Active Mobile Number

eKYC – A Must do KYC for the 20th Installment  of PM-KISAN Yojana 2025

Many farmers were declared ineligible due to incorrect data they provided, and also those who have not completed their eKYC. Without eKYC, even eligible farmers might miss the upcoming installment under this Yojana. Here’s how to complete it:

• Go to pmkisan.gov.in
• Click on ‘eKYC’ under the Farmers Corner provided at the corner side
• Enter your Aadhaar number carefully and then complete the OTP verification
• If your mobile isn’t linked to Aadhaar, visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) also called ‘Aadhar Centre’, for biometric verification

Once eKYC is done, a message confirming “eKYC successfully completed” will appear on the screen.

Reasons for Being Ineligible for PM-KISAN Yojana 2025?

If your name doesn’t appear in the list, or your application was rejected, it could be due to:

• Incorrect age or land details
• Wrong bank account details
• Mistakes during filling out the application
• Missing eKYC verification

In such cases, reach out to the nearest CSC center for help. DO remember that this newly revised list maintains transparency and equity by identifying valid beneficiaries.
