CTET 2025 Exam Date

CBSE CTET July session 2025 will be conducted on July 6, 2025, as per the announcement made by CBSE. The exam will be conducted in two shifts:

  • Shift 1: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Shift 2: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM

3 New Rules for CTET 2025 – The CTET Included 3 New Rules in 2025

  1. Lifetime Validity of CTET Certificate. One of the major changes is the lifetime validity of the CTET certificate. Earlier, the certificate was valid for a period of seven years, but now candidate shall not be required to again appear in exam reducing the eligibility hassle for teachers.
  2. There is no Negative Marking in the CTET 2025 exam. This revision now allows candidates to attempt every question, as there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  3. Syllabus and Exam Pattern Modified CBSE has also modified the syllabus and exam pattern for the CTET paper. The new questions will be less focused on theory and more on practical teaching skills and real-life scenarios, providing a test that better reflects what actually happens in a classroom.

CTET Eligibility Criteria

CTET is held at two levels:

  • Paper I (for classes 1 to 5): Candidates are required to fulfil one of the following eligibility criteria:
    • D.El. from Senior Secondary (50%) Ed or B.El. Ed
    • D. El. A Bachelor’s Degree. Ed
  • Paper II (for classes 6 to 8): Aspirants should fulfil either of the following:
    • A Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed
    • Senior Secondary (50%)& B.A.Ed/B.Sc. Ed

The CTET application process will be entirely online. The official form will be available as of the month of April M20. The application fee can be paid by the candidates through net banking, debit cards, credit cards.
